Founded in 1989 by Matt and Melissa Hickey, the company is a full-service flooring dealer with a wide selection of carpet, vinyl, hardwood, laminate, natural slate and stone, area rugs, ceramic, for walls and floors, and luxury vinyl.
Expanding in 2016, the larger showroom features furniture and home accessories. Bringing quality home goods to the Eagle River and Anchorage communites has been an exciting venture!
A Hunter Douglas Showcase Dealer carrying Alustra, Cozy Interiors offers not only window coverings, cabinets for kitchen and bath, and countertops (including granite slab), but also design services as well. They provide expert installation by skilled craftsmen for everything they sell.

In this family-centered business, Melissa is the general manager of the flooring department, while Matt and Charlie are the cabinet designers. Melissa notes that even the couple's children "are currently learning the family business at a young age."
"We believe in providing a warm, family-friendly environment in which to shop," she says. "Our carpet technicians have been with us for over 20 years and have more than 40 years' experience." To which Matt adds, "We give our installers all the support they need to maintain high-quality standards. We treat them like family."
This kind of warm, supportive atmosphere among employees and staff also sets the stage for close relationships with customers. "We treat them like family, too," Matt says.

Well-regarded in the region, the company is a stable, long-time business that enjoys an excellent reputation and many repeat and referral customers. In addition, Cozy Interiors is known for community involvement, sponsoring school sports teams, the local troopers, and the fire department when help is needed. "We owe our success to God," Melissa sums up. "Without Him we would be nothing. It's His business; we run it."
